Focus SB product launch

Focus SB have a long history of making beautifully crafted design & finish solutions for clients working in the luxury build sector.

Their most recent product line - Renaissance - combines a considerable amount of technical engineering along with a design-first solution, answering the needs of clients looking for a premium, screwless electrical faceplate.

I was brought in to work with the marketing team to develop a film showcasing the people and processes that have gone into bringing the product to market. We covered everything off during the course of a two day shoot at their factory. Motion tracked typographic elements were used to bring certain key messages to life.

I love manufacturing… human artistry and ingenuity bringing physical components together to create a unique and functional object.

Quintessence promotional film

Quintessence Fragrances came to us for a promotional film which brought together all the thinking and effort that had gone into their recent rebrand and combined that with footage to create an emotive film.

We’d helped them with photographic content for their new website so creating the film seemed a natural extension of this.

The brief was ambitious - we needed to reference the entire supply chain and the complete set of processes that go into fragrance production - so library footage combined with archive was the was to go.

We wrote copy and then picture researched, making use of fast expanding selection of excellent stock footage platforms now available.

AI Voiceover gave us the flexibility we needed to experiment with a few creative options…and it was a first for us and worked very well!

Businesses of Sussex

I've spent the last year filming around East Sussex, talking to businesses about why they have based themselves in this beautiful county. The breadth and depth of businesses operating out of the area was a revelation...who knew that the world's fastest camera - used to capture atomic level explosions - was developed by Photek in Hastings!

It's been a sizeable job - 18 businesses covered, 25 days of filming, 522 emails exchanged, 932 miles travelled, weeks of editing and motion graphics….but its all been very rewarding.

All the district and borough films can be seen here

Pega and Lloyds TSB

Regular client, Pegasystems US commissioned us to set up and shoot a Q&A for their annual get together, Pega World.

With limited time, Raphael and Juan (pictured above), did a first class job getting through an in-depth Q&A session discussing Pega’s offering and how it integrates with Lloyds TSB. You can see the finished film here.

Camera and sound team were extremely professional adapting to last minute changes to location…blame the producer !

GLA and food bank volunteers

The GLA and the Mayor of London comms team are a fascinating client to work for. Their needs are diverse and varied, with subject matters being topical and thought provoking.

Having spent a lot of the pandemic working with them on public health films, I was asked to examine another unfortunate aspect of the pandemic and lockdown.

The GLA needed two films that looked at what motivates a volunteer to give their time and no small amount of emotional energy to food banks. Regrettably the lockdown has seen a surge in demand for this type of charitable activity, so the demand for volunteers is acute.

Respect to the team at Sufra who go out of their way to make sure their local community are fed.
